About Me 〰️

I am an experienced educator with over 8 years of teaching experience, including my time as an ESL teacher in Seoul, South Korea. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Teaching of English and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Instructional Design at Loyola University Chicago. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

In instructional design, I am particularly interested in eLearning development and user experience, aiming to create engaging and effective learning experiences. I actively seek professional development opportunities to enhance my skills and stay current with industry trends.

In addition to my passion for education, I am an avid hiker and have recently taken up running, with the goal of completing the Chicago Marathon next year. I am also a dedicated dog lover; I adopted my dog, Jade, while living in Korea and actively volunteer at my local dog shelter.

As a Swiftie, I enjoy Taylor Swift's music and can never choose a favorite album—my favorite changes with the seasons! 🫶

Through my teaching and community involvement, I strive to make a positive impact on both my students and the furry friends I care for. I look forward to leveraging my skills in instructional design to create meaningful learning experiences that inspire and empower others.
